FL after retiring, where he spent the ensuing years working for his condominium association board, serving Meals-On-Wheels to shut-ins, and playing golf. He and his wife, Louise moved to Lauderhill. He served in both the Asia Pacific and the European African Middle East theaters. During World War II he was a Captain in the Army Dental Corps with the 528th Medical Hospital Ship Platoon. He was a graduate of Cornell University and University of Maryland Dental School. He was an active board member of the Jewish Community Center and belonged to the Ninth District Dental Society and the Kiwanis Club. A lifetime resident of Spring Valley, NY, he practiced general dentistry in his Main Street office from 1946-1979 before retiring to Florida. Born Apin New York City, NY, he is survived by Louise, his wife of 59 years, and children Michelle Looram of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Brian Berman of Bainbridge Island, WA, and 4 grandchildren, Edward and Benjamin Looram and Sara and Jayan Berman. Funeral services will be held at 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2002, at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 7500 North State Road 7, Coconut Creek, FL.īERMAN Berman, Alexander N., DDS - Died December 30, 2001.
